My Schedule

Yes, there comes a time in every mapper's life where he must disappear off the face of the earth for a week or two because he's moving from one job to another or something like that. In my case I'll be moving to the Savannah College of Art and Design (if anyone there happens to know me/my exploits I'd be happy to hook up with you), and yes, that is in Georgia.

My schedule, presented with further shameless use of bullet points:

  • August 30th: The most likely date that this machine will be disassembled into its constituent molecules and sealed in a matter-energy buffer for the long arduous trip over the Appalachians and any piedmonters that happen to get in our way.
  • August 31st through September 3rd: Short family labor day trip to Door County, WI. Yes, it's badly timed, but I can't help it that the stupid US government wants to put Labor Day here and not on May 1st like every other industrialized nation on Earth does. This does not include any actual time spent translating my body and belongings in a southwest and generally uni-bound direction, so it's pretty much just extra downtime.
  • September 4th: I return home for a single day, in which all of the Labor Day munitions and equipment must be loaded out of the car in anticipation of it's nearly immediate re-filling with college dorm munitions and equipment. I was expecting to be able to resurface here that day but that was before I remembered the all-important step of actually unplugging the computer.
  • September 5th and 6th: Driving. lots of driving. and sitting. so, like, yeah.
  • September 7th: (Friday) Arrival and check-in. I get to move into my new home on the 7th, specifically between 8 and 10 in the morning, at which time if not shortly thereafter I should reappear.

Since I update this site through a handy PHP script, I can technically add news updates from any computer with net access on Earth, so I may manage to make short battlefield updates sometime between the 30th and the 7th, but I make no actual guarantees.

CF Mappers, you should all have the proper files you need, so keep mapping and start actually talking to each other, aye?
